The green flag drops at 2:30 p.m. ET and will air on NBC. A live stream will be available on NBCSports.com/live. The race will be preceded by qualifying at 11:05 a.m. ET. That will air on CNBC and also be available for live

This is a rare qualifying event, but it makes sense given the fact that Cup Series drivers have no experience outside of Xfinity races. Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson enter qualifying as co-favorites in this race, installed at +300 by DraftKings Sportsbook. Martin Truex, Jr. is next at +1000.

After a first qualifying lap, a second one will be made amongst the top 12 drivers for the pole position and the first six rows. 40 drivers will attempt to qualify, and so all 40 should make the field for the race.

The boys of NASCAR will get back into the mix in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin on Sunday for the Jockey Made in America 250.

Qualifying for the Cup Series event begins at 11 a.m. ET July 4 on CNBC, and NBC will broadcast the race from Road America starting at 2:30 p.m.

Denny Hamlin remains in first place in the Cup Series standings entering Sunday with about two months to go before the NASCAR playoffs begin. Kyle Larson, who rattled off a string of victories from late May to early June, is just two points behind Hamlin and has a series-leading four wins this season.

William Byron, Joey Logano and Kyle Busch round out the Top 5 in the points standings, as the drivers veer toward a crucial stretch.

Busch captured his second win of the year a week ago at the Explore the Pocono Mountains 350. Larson finished second and Hamlin came in at 14th, seeing his series lead dwindle.

Road America is one of seven road courses on the Cup Series schedule this year, and it might present an unfamiliar challenge for many drivers. The Jockey Made in America 250 will be the first Cup Series race held at the course since 1956.
